The ENPC School of International Management was
selected by the European Union for organising and implementing, as of June 2002,
management education for European managers enrolled in the ETP ("Executive
Training Program") in Japan.
ETP is financed and managed entirely by the European Commission, and established
in order to prepare young European executives for future positions in Japan.
Participants will attend Japanese language classes and a management-training
program comprising lecturers, workshops and company visits. 44 participants to
ETP 21 from all over the EU, will join soon the 800 alumni of the past 20
intakes, many of whom are now in senior positions in European companies
operating in Japan or in European companies doing business with Japan. ENPC is
proud to follow the lead of Sophia University in Tokyo, who has been organising
the ETP management education program for more than a decade.
The program will consist of lectures, company visits, case studies and workshops,
all centred on practical solutions to foreign companies' questions in dealing
with Japanese business and economy. It will be managed and coordinated by Peter
Schimmann, alumnus of the ENPC class of 1999 and alumnus of ETP 19 (2000/2001),
and a group of academic advisors from ENPC MBA and from Nagoya University.
Nagoya University, one of the most prestigious national universities in Japan,
is as of the current academic year partner of ENPC MBA for the full-time MBA
program in Japan.
