HHL’s MBA Program shows further growth, 43 students from 17 nations enrolled

Enrollment has grown from 18 in 2000, to 43 in the class that began its
studies on Monday, September 8th, 2003.  The new students continue to be
very diverse and include four with doctoral degrees.  Because of HHL’s
continuous efforts in South America and recognition by AmericaEconomia,
the region’s leading business publication, as the only German business
school ranked among the best 50 in the world, HHL was especially
successful in recruiting outstanding South American students.

Several curriculum innovations were introduced into the MBA Program
after consultation with students, faculty and employers.  The most
important is that all students now have the opportunity to complete
their studies by choosing among four options:

* A 3-6 month long internship with an international firm.  Current HHL
students have just completed internships with firms such as BBDO,
Boston Consulting Group, BMW, Coca Cola, Commerzbank, Deutsche Bank,
Infineon, Kühne & Nagel, Lufthansa, PWC and Siemens.

* Study abroad at one of HHL’s 80+ international partner schools.  HHL
partners include such prominent business schools as The University of
Chicago’s Graduate School of Business, Dartmouth College’s Tuck School
of Business, the Indian Institutes of Management and France’s HEC.

* Additional studies leading to a specialty in a core business area such
as finance, marketing, accounting, strategy or entrepreneurship.

* Specialized studies supervised by an HHL professor.

In late November HHL will begin offering a part-time MBA program for
15-20 highly qualified students who will complete their studies over a
two-year period.  The part-time MBA is aimed at young professionals who
seek to complement and enhance their previous education and their
practical experiences through state-of-the-art management knowledge with
an international focus. Evidence of HHL’s commitment to this new program
is provided by the fact that HHL’s Dean, Prof. Dr. Arnis Vilks, is the
director of this part-time program. Details are available at
