How to Avoid Losing Money When Playing Real Money Blackjack

BlackjackBlackjack is one of the oldest casino games that are still played commonly across the world, dating back all the way to the time of the French revolution when even the casinos themselves were radically different from how they are right now, believe it or not. Back then, the people you were playing blackjack with were other players instead of dealers employed by the casino, and as such you could come up with various tricks and strategies in order to defeat them. And while the game of blackjack doesn’t really change, there are two things that do – its name and the people you play against. Just like how, over hundreds of years, casinos gradually began employing dealers to play against the players, today we’re faced with yet another revolution as we see these very same dealers gradually becoming obsolete and being replaced by AI in online casinos.

Interestingly enough, while blackjack is, objectively speaking, the only casino game that can be beaten for an almost certain profit (by counting cards, like in the movie “21”), its transition online has completely destroyed the hopes and dreams of any potential card counters. And while there’s several guides online about how to succeed at online blackjack, such as this example, the truth of the matter is that, at the end of the day, it all relies on pure luck. Maybe you’ll get a blackjack, or maybe you’ll go bust immediately. With the deck being shuffled before each hand, there’s no accurate way to predict what will come next. All you can do is minimize your losses and wait for that big lucky break.

So, how do you do that? Well, there’s a couple of ways. First and foremost – bet small! Unless you can really, seriously afford it (and I doubt that you can, if you’re reading this), high rolling online is mostly not worth it. No matter what, you’re going to be losing more than you’re winning – the trick is to make it so that you cut your losses and maximize your winnings in order to turn in a profit at the end of the day, and that just doesn’t happen with high rolling. Another thing you should also always be looking out for are the odds – AI, unlike a real dealer, can be pretty dumb, and you should take full advantage of it! Sometimes it’s set to hit on a 17, or split tens every time – find those holes in its programming and exploit them!

At the end of the game, despite what many sites online will tell you, there’s no surefire way for you to win at online blackjack – the system was simply designed by people who specifically wanted to and did everything in their power to prevent that from happening. All you can do is make sure you maximize your winnings and minimize your losses. Don’t expect to become a millionaire… But if you do it right, you just might be able to get a little extra dough in your pocket!

Casino Bonus Packs and Reload Bonuses Explained

Hey, guys and welcome to another exciting bonus lesson. Today our topic revolves around bonus packages and reload bonuses compared to one-time deposit offers, which I thoroughly explained last time. To do a quick recap, I will tell you that there are few types of bonuses that casino operators give players to help them boost their initial playing capital, among which the most common are deposit bonuses and packages. The first type implies a one-time deposit to claim the whole amount, while the latter gives players the opportunity of making numerous smaller instalments and still claim the whole bonus, only over a longer period of time. So, now let’s have a look at bonus packages and see how to make the most of them.

The best way to explain such a bonus is to give you an example. Let’s say you have a bonus package of up to £1,500. This offer can be claimed over 5 deposits, for example, each up to £300. This means that you will be able to make 5 deposits to get the whole bonus amount, instead of having to deposit £1,500 at once for the same bonus. Sounds good, right? But there are still things that you need to pay attention to, such as the match percentage of the individual deposit offers of the whole package. Let me explain. There are cases in which all instalments get an equal match bonus, which means that for 100% up to £300 you need to deposit £300 and you will get another £300 bonus. However, in some cases, the offer is 50% or 200% up to £300. In the latter, you deposit £150 and get £300 as bonus. Pretty simple so far, right?

Another similar type of offer is the reload one, which implies that you will get another bonus on your second, third and fourth deposits, per say. The difference between this and the bonus packages is that you will have an almost unlimited period of time to receive the reload bonuses while bonus packages are usually valid for a month or so. Depending on the overall amount, I would always go for this type of offers because I can claim the first deposit bonus now and the second and third, whenever I see fit. So, now that you know about the most common bonus offers, you can make a more informed choice the next time you make a deposit. Until our next lesson, I wish you the best of luck!

One Bonus or a Whole Bunch of Them? Part I

Deposit Bonuses Versus Bonus Packs LessonOnline casinos have numerous types of bonuses they give to reward new players for joining. That could mean a no deposit bonus, a one-time deposit bonus or a bonus pack. But for you to be able to make an informed choice as to what type of offer will agree with you, you need to know more about all of them. So, let’s see what are the good and the not-so-good characteristics of the two deposit bonus types.
I’ll start with the deposit bonus offer, about which I am sure you know a thing or two. This is a one-time bonus which is usually directly connected to the amount that you put in. For example, if you have a 200% bonus of up to £600, that means that you will need to deposit over £300 or just that amount to be able to profit from the offer to the fullest. But imagine a bonus of up to £2,000. As appealing as it may seem, you will need a really big initial deposit, to be able to claim all the bonus amount at once. Always pay attention to the match percentage of the offer, not just the amount. Because if you compare only the amount, you might get tricked into taking a highly unprofitable deal.
Let me give you an example. If you compare the two bonuses that I mentioned in the previous paragraph, you will think that £2,000 is a lot better than £600 and you wouldn’t be too far off from the truth. But if I tell you that the smaller bonus is better, then it is probably due to the match percentage of the offers. You see, one bonus is 200% up to £600, which means you will get double your deposit as bonus, while the second one is 50% up to £2,000 and you know what that means, right? Yes, an initial deposit of £4,000, to get only half of that amount as bonus.
So, my friends, keep your eyes open and choose carefully, because as I mentioned in the previous 2 lesson, there are also wagering requirements and bonus playthrough that you need to comply with. And somehow having to wager £6,000 around 20 – 30 times in only one month doesn’t seem plausible to me.
This is just about all you need to know about the one-time deposit bonus and how to choose the best one for you. Our next lesson will cover the other type of bonus – a bonus pack or a string or reload bonuses and see what makes it better or worse than a one-time bonus. Until then, have fun and stay safe.

Bonus Wagering Requirements Part II

Lesson Two on Wagering Conditions and Games ContributionWe spoke last time briefly about the different types of casino bonuses and the wagering requirements attached to them. But there is another important aspect that I promised we will cover in the second part of this lesson – game contributions. Let me explain.
First of all, I mentioned before that almost all bonuses have certain conditions that you need to comply with before you will be able to withdraw it, along with your winnings. But you should always check the wagering contributions for your favourite game or games, because otherwise you might end up not being able to play through the bonus and you could stand to lose it after the validity period has expired.
The way it works is every £100 played at a specific game category or variation contributes with a certain percentage to the wagering requirements. For example, since most of the times slots have a 100% contribution, £100 played on any slot will fully contribute to the bonus playthrough, while the same amount wagered on roulette will only have a 10% – 25% contribution.
Of course, this also depends on the type of bonus you choose, because it’s only normal that a slot welcome bonus can only be played on slots, so all other games will be excluded. Nonetheless, this does not mean that you cannot play them, they simply won’t help you with the bonus playthrough. Or let’s say you claim a special bonus for live-dealer games, it’s only obvious that you will have to play it on the dedicated games.
Most of the times slots, video poker and arcade games, such as Heads or Tails and Paper, Rock, Scissors have a 100% contribution, while tables games or some of their variations may have little to no contribution whatsoever. This is why it’s a good idea to check the terms and conditions of a certain bonus offer before claiming it, so as to make sure that you can use the bonus to play your favourite games. Moreover, sometimes certain variations may be excluded due to the high RTP (return to player), which implies a very small house edge.
Such is many times the case of French Roulette, which has a really high RTP of 98.65% and at some casinos this game has 0% contribution. The same thing can be said about Blackjack Switch, the best variation to play, once more thanks to the RTP of 99.42%. So, this is just about it on the subject of game contributions and I wish you the best of luck until our next lesson.

Casino Bonuses for Dummies

Bonus Wagering Requirements – Part I

First Lesson on Casino BonusesOnline casinos give players different types of bonuses – some upon registration, some for their first deposits and some don’t even require a deposit in the first place. But almost all of them have wagering requirements and if you are not familiar with them, these bonuses may do more harm than good. To prevent that from happening, I have decided to create a small guide, in which I will explain how these bonuses work and how to play through them like a pro. Let’s begin!

In this article, we will look at the different types of bonuses in terms of how and whether or not you should claim them, because you should only pick a bonus with favourable wagering requirements. The first bonus we will talk about is the no deposit one. As you could tell from the name, this offer doesn’t require you to fund your account, but simply to register. However, as attractive as these offers may seem, most of the times they will not do anything else for you than give you the chance to try out the software and some of the games. The reason for which I say that lays precisely in the wagering requirements, as they are usually extremely high and have a short validity period.

To give you an example, let’s say Casino X offers £10 for newcomers, no deposit required. When you see such an offer, you should immediately check the terms and conditions of this bonus and be prepared for the worse. Don’t get me wrong. if you only want to play around with it and get a feel for the casino site, these offers will do just fine. If, on the other hand, you plan on making money from this bonus, then roll up your sleeves and get ready for quite the battle. Some no deposit offers can even have a wagering requirement as high as 100 times, which means that you have to wager that amount, let’s say £10, a 100 times to be able to withdraw your winnings. And while it is do-able, if you have only 7 days to fulfil these conditions, this becomes mission impossible.

Deposit bonuses, on the other hand, are a whole different dish, although they also have conditions attached to them. There are two types of offers – first deposit bonuses and deposit packs or packages. The latter imply a larger bonus amount, spread across more than just one deposit. This means that every time you make a deposit, it will be matched to a certain percentage by the operator and you will have a significantly bigger balance to play with. There is one considerable difference between deposit bonuses at different online casinos: while one casino may ask you to play through the bonus 30 times per say, others may impose the same wagering requirement for the bonus and your deposit. Let’s say you claim a 100% up to £100 bonus. As you can probably imagine, it’s one thing to wager the £100 that you claimed and a whole different thing to wager £100 + £100 that you deposited. And there is the matter of games contribution, about which we will discuss in our next casino bonuses lesson. Until then, have a good one and good luck at the tables.
